Liv Reviews: The Peninsula 'Life Lived Best' Wellness Programme | Liv
Yes – that’s yoga on The Peninsula’s helipad!

The Buzz: Hong Kong’s OG five-star hotel might not be synonymous with health and wellbeing, but we reckon that’s set to change! The Peninsula Life Lived Best programme weaves wellbeing into the DNA of the hotel, with classes, cuisine, treatments and other wellness opportunities that take health and wellbeing to the next level.

The Programme: Hotel guests can now participate in a number of group fitness classes – from HIIT to stretching – or even power their own workout with fitness equipment delivered to their room. On the mental wellness side, the hotel provides aromatherapy patches in-room to boost relaxation, and you can even order a mineral-rich aroma bath from Irish skincare brand VOYA to lull you to sleep.

On the dining front, The Peninsula has taken its healthy options up a notch, with fully plant-based fine dining menus in the Lobby, at the Spa, in Spring Moon and as private dining.

As part of The Peninsula Life Lived Best programme, you can also join monthly full moon sound baths, as well as regular retreats and workshops hosted by the Spa on a quarterly basis – contact the spa for details.

While all this goodness is available to all hotel guests, you can experience it all as part of the Life Lived Best staycation package, which is running from now until March 31, 2023. It includes a night in a superior suite, healthy welcome amenities, a “Blissful Sleep” bath ritual, a Naturally Peninsula set dinner and breakfast for two at the pool, and a 60-minute personal training session for two. the package is $6,250 for two guests.

The Verdict: We were blown away by the wellness programming on a recent visit to the hotel. Not only was the cuisine fully plant-based, it was absolutely delicious and we didn’t have any omnivore FOMO at all. The classes, which took place on the hotel’s sun terrace with spectacular harbour views, were challenging and invigorating; our aching muscles certainly enjoyed the mineral-rich bath we had that night. If you’re looking for a proper wellness escape right here in Hong Kong, this one is a thumbs-up from team Liv.
