Review: Ignae Powerful Recharging Facial at Four Seasons | Liv

The Buzz: Hailing from The Azores, a Portuguese island situated in the Atlantic Ocean, Ignae is an award-winning skincare brand that combines the island’s abundant natural resources with their patented EPC Factor, which allows products to penetrate deeper into the skin. The result is skincare that’s all-natural, vegan, and totally effective. Its products have received accolades from The likes of Elle and Beauty Bible. Put it this way – Spa Director Dr. Tania Bardhan is extremely selective about what product lines are carried in the spa, and Ignae is the latest to join the lineup!

The Treatment: Ignae treatments step away from using machines to deliver results. Rather, they focus on quality products and massage techniques for protocols that are very effective while also imparting a profound sense of relaxation. We went for the 90-minute Powerful Recharging facial, which includes an Azoerean spirulina mask and lymphatic drainage massage techniques to detox and heal the skin, stimulate collagen production, protect against UV damage and enhance the skin’s protective barrier. We loved how incredibly relaxing this treatment was, and how it helps to safeguard against environmental factors such as sun damage and pollution. Next time we’d love to try the 120-minute digital detox body treatment, which aims to soothe the stresses brought about by excessive screen time, from aching backs, shoulders and arms to skin damage caused by blue light emanating from your computer screen.

Ignae at the Four Seasons Hong Kong

The Verdict: A treatment at The Four Seasons never disappoints. From the gorgeous spa suite to the five-star facilities, an afternoon at one of the best spas in Hong Kong is always a treat. We’re fully converted to Ignae’s small but perfectly-formed product line as well! After using their non-drying volcanic clay mask and day cream, our skin looks and feels clear, calm and well nourished.
