June 2023: Seven New Wellness Openings to Check Out | Liv

Yun Wellness

Without a doubt one of the biggest wellness openings this year so far, the Island Shangri-la has just unveiled Yun Wellness, an ambitious and sprawling wellness concept that aims to deliver 360-degree wellbeing. In addition to the ten decadent treatment rooms offering an impressive lineup of body and face treatments, at Yun you will find a full range of wellness services, running the gamut from physiotherapy, osteopathy, TCM and nutrition consulting, through to small group fitness classes in their custom-built studio. Yun has a big focus on women, with practitioners devoted to pre- and post-natal care. There’s even a hair spa, where you can nourish your stressed-out tresses. Relax post-treatment with a dip in the recently revamped pool, with a health-conscious cafe set to open by year’s end. The design is very different compared to most hotel spas, with a focus on cosy textures and plenty of botanical accents that create a welcoming ambiance that invites you to linger.

Mana & Chi

After rediscovering her family’s time-honoured Ubtan, an Indian bridal beauty ritual in which a beautifying paste is made from a blend of natural ingredients such as turmeric, rose petals, saffron and nutmeg, Manasi Golecha Bhandari decided to blend and bottle the all-natural formula herself. The result is Mana & Chi, an online apothecary dedicated to traditional skincare formulas, all of which are farm-to-face, handmade and vegan. Purchase your Ubtan by the bag or in a beautiful glass jar; the online store also sells face rollers, crystals and other spiritual items.

Cocoxells

We think your downstairs bits are perfect just as they are, but if you feel like your vulva deserves some extra TLC, Cocoxells is a new Hong Kong-based company that has designed a skin soothing spray for below the waist. Containing skin soothing and calming ingredients such as chasteberry, oat and plankton extracts, give yourself a spritz after your morning shower, or stash in your bag for use on the go.

Lantana Beach Club

Cheung Sha Beach has a new hangout spot to while away a sunny weekend! Located right on the beach, Lantana Beach Club offers a little slice of Europe, with a Franco-Italian menu and an impressive drinks list that focuses on French wines. Opened by Pastis Group, this breezy alfresco venue lends itself to lazy lunches after a morning of swimming and playing on the beach, as well as private celebrations. Menu highlights include the handmade pizzas and indulgent pastas, but for something lighter, the fresh veggie dips and the protein-packed nicoise salad will definitely hit the spot.
