New eye colours from Christian Louboutin Beaute
It’s time to mention the dreaded C-word… yes, Christmas is coming! If you’re after some no-brainer goodies for your holiday shopping list, Christian Louboutin Beauté has just launched Tape à l’Oeil Eye Colours, their very first eyeshadow collection – just in time for you to start dropping some significant hints to your nearest and dearest. Comprising a total of twelve shades (six matte nudes, six shimmering metallics), the Art Deco packaging is every bit as gorgeous as we’ve come to expect from Louboutin’s beauty products. The formula is lightweight and long-lasting, with an innovative brush that allows for perfect application and blending, and it’s all ophthalmologist-tested and cruelty-free too. Use them as all-over eye shadows (the matte shades can also be used as primers) or go more avant-garde and create a quirky graphical look with the precision brush… Or just stare at them lovingly on your dressing table!

Cryotherapy Facial from the Ritz-Carlton Spa
Getting away from the cold was one of the main reasons I left the UK – but I’m all for subjecting myself to some sub-zero temperatures in the name of beauty! The Ritz-Carlton Spa has just launched a new series of very cool (literally!) cryotherapy treatments, including the Cryotherapy Rejuvenation Facial; this involves -30°C purified air being blown at your face using a special machine, which has an instant revitalising effect on your complexion. The cool temperature apparently helps exfoliate away dead skin cells, leaving you ready to get your glow on. Combined with products from luxurious skincare line 111SKIN, you can expect your skin to look firmer, clearer and more luminous after just one treatment – ideal if you’ve got a special occasion that you want to look great for. I tried the facial and was pretty impressed with the results… and as someone who has braved many a British winter without central heating, I didn’t even find it that cold either! Cryotherapy body treatments designed to stimulate the lymphatic system and ease sore muscles are also available. Cryotherapy Rejuvenation Facial costs $2,580 for 60 minutes, $3,080 for 90 minutes ($100 supplement for treatments on Friday-Sunday or public holidays).
