With the weather warming up and summer just around the corner, what do Hongkongers do when we’re city-bound for the foreseeable future? Check out the creative staycation offers at the city’s top hotels, of course!

Though the glitzy, modern decor might not instantly scream “wellness,” The Ritz-Carlton is actually doing a big push to expand its offerings for health seekers, with health-focused menu items (their lunchtime salad bar is well known among the West Kowloon corporate set), an impressive gym and indoor pool, plus a five-star spa that offers gorgeous spa treatments way up in the clouds.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa

Its newly launched staycation is perfect for anyone missing their bootcamp vacations in Thailand. For $3,500, you’ll be checked into a 700-square-foot Wellness Room, with your choice of a spinning bike or rowing machine installed for your exclusive use. Complete your personal workout with dumbbells or kettlebells, plus a yoga mat for your wind-down. Don’t know your arm curl from your elbow? The package also includes a private one-hour personal training session so you can (literally!) get to grips with your gear. There’s also a $500 spa or dining credit if you want to reward yourself after a hard session.

The package also comes with a healthy meal for two at the Lounge & Bar (though if you prefer to go for a less healthy option, no one will judge!) as well as a three-course healthy lunch or dinner for two. We love the sound of the Lebanese tabbouleh with pomegranate and halloumi, followed by the signature spa linguine with edamame, spinach, avocado pesto and cold-pressed almond oil. For dessert, we’d definitely spring for the vegan coconut cardamom panna cotta with raspberry coulis.

Interested? The package starts from $3,500 (plus 10% service charge), including a night’s stay in a Grand Seaview Room, in-room fitness equipment, PT session, breakfast and a healthy set meal for two, free overnight parking, and $500 spa or dining credit. Book by emailing [email protected] or calling 2263-2100.
