Ever wanted to volunteer but weren’t sure where to start? Responding to this gap in the market is the newly launched LocalMotion, a platform where charities and social enterprises can make more impact. Founded by Belinda Poole and Sarah Fowler, a former lawyer and a marketing professional respectively, LocalMotion pairs skilled professionals with charities and social enterprises for short term projects that take between 10 and 30 hours to complete. The duo understood the inefficiencies and unique business challenges that charities face, and they vowed to make skills-based volunteering more personal, useful and ultimately scaleable for everyone involved. If you’d like to make a difference, LocalMotion is a great place to start your search.
