From aerial yoga on the beach and bootcamp classes to watersports galore – and even a circus school for budding trapeze artists – there are dozens of active pursuits to fill your day. But it’s not just the activities that make this resort such a draw for wellness seekers: Club Med has partnered with Australian spa chef and award-winning clinical nutritionist Samantha Gowing to level up their healthy food offerings at Bintan and Bali. You’ll discover plenty of delicious nutrient-dense and plant-based options that taste as good as they look. Think slow-pressed juices, detox waters, poke bowls and veggie burgers – all for you to graze on whenever you like. And what would a retreat be without a visit to the spa? Club Med Bintan’s spa facilities offers tip-top treatments set against sweeping views of the South China Sea.
Join the Body & Soul Retreat on May 7-25!
This May, Club Med Bintan is putting on a three-week Body & Soul Retreat wellness programme – and you’re invited! The packed schedule includes sound baths and yoga classes, workshops ranging from art classes and aroma balm to beeswax wrap-making, and delicious pressed juiced and plant-based cuisine. They’ve even partnered with Lush for in-room wellness amenities, bath bomb workshops and a weekly beach cleanup so you can do your part for mother earth.
Club Med Bali
Located on a half-mile stretch of beach on Nusa Dua, the sprawling Club Med Bali captures the island’s spirit of adventure and wellness culture in its activity programme. You’ll never be short of something to do at this resort, which offers aerial beach yoga, healthy Balinese cooking classes and massage classes to name just a few. For watersport lovers, they offer surfing, SUP, snorkeling, windsurfing and kayaking, all guided by professional coaches. Want to get out of the resort and explore Bali’s wilder side? You’ll find plenty of adrenaline-packed guided excursions, from white water rafting to a night trek up Mount Batur, or a spiritual hike to Sekumpul Waterfall. Don’t miss the lush and tranquil Mandara Spa, which has its own secluded spa pool, as well as a hammam, hot tub and sauna facilities.
Club Med Kani, The Maldives
If you’re all about that vitamin sea life, Club Med Kani is a great place to recharge and experience the ocean’s healing energy. Only 25 minutes from Male International Airport, this resort is surrounded on all sides by sparkling turquoise waters. Take a dip at any time of the day straight from your suite, and marvel at The Maldives’ spectacular marine life as it drifts past. Choose from Kani’s many activities, from just about any type of watersports you can think of, to the more sedate (and land-based) yoga, bootcamp or beach volleyball. It is also home to one of the best diving schools in The Maldives. Daily dives followed by SUP and yoga, all fueled by healthy, nourishing cuisine? Heaven.
Club Med Finolhu Villas
Club Med Kani’s sister property in the Maldives, Club Med Finolhu Villas offers a more premium and private experience, with enormous villas equipped with private plunge pools. Compared to Kani, it’s a much more adult-oriented resort, making it an ideal pick if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing break. One of The Maldives’ top eco-friendly properties, it has its own water bottling facility, gets much of its energy from solar panels, and it also participates in the Marine Life Restoration Programme. It also runs a weekly Wellness Day, with morning yoga, fitness classes and healthy snacks galore. Finolhu Villa guests are also welcome to use all the complimentary facilities at Club Med Kani, which is only a five-minute boat ride away.
