Rii Swim is a new sustainable swimwear line made with recycled fishing nets

Hong Kong-based Sustainable swimwear line Rii Swim is the brainchild of local influencer Ellie Furuya, who launched her collection of upcycled bathing suits over the summer. What’s cool about this brand is that everything is made with regenerated nylon, recycled from disused items like old fishing nets. (Not-so-fun fact: did you know that about 640,000 tons of fishing nets are currently left discarded in our oceans?!)

All of the bikinis and one-pieces are designed to be timeless – the company’s slogan is “the little black dress of swimwear” – and resistant to chlorine, sunscreen and pilling, so you can wear them for many years to come. Suits start from $740.
