Reemi period underwear launches in Hong Kong

Periods are a fact of life, and we love the ever-growing range of ingenious menstrual products on the market these days that help women get through their time of the month with minimal stress and, ahem, mess. Reemi is an Auckland-based not-for-profit that has developed the world’s first self-disinfecting reusable menstrual underwear. Founded by Hongkonger Emily Au-Yeung, this first-of-its-kind underwear can hold up to two tampons worth of blood and is eco-friendly and biodegradable. Reemi just reached its first Kickstarter goal to start mass-producing the undies, and 100 percent of the profits from sales will go towards education and menstrual products for female garment workers in Bangladesh – how fab is that! If you missed out on the pre-order via Kickstarter, Au-Yeung says the period panties should be ready for market by end of Q1 2020 – so watch this space!
