Local English-language bookshop Bookazine launches online store

If your New Year’s resolutions include reading more, you’ll be pleased to know there’s now a super easy way to buy books online while still supporting local business. Bookazine has launched an online
store, meaning you can order from their long list of titles with most deliveries arriving to you within a week of purchase. One of the last remaining English-language chains in Hong Kong, the bookshop has been a fixture of the city’s bibliophiles since it opened in 1985, but has struggled amidst the economic slowdown, like most local businesses. This pivot to e-commerce might be overdue, but we’re happy to support a homegrown brand as opposed to giving Amazon any more of our hard-earned dollars! Shop Sustainable Fashion at The American Club on April 20

The American Club Foundation is hosting Sip Style & Shop, a sustainable shopping event on April 20! Taking place at The American Club in Tai Tam, this public event will see some of the city’s best eco business under one roof, offering more than 1,000 items of pre-loved clothing for sale (its on the Southside so you know the pickings will be good!) in support of three local charities: ImpactHK, RUN HK and Chatteris Educational Foundation. In addition to secondhand finds, you’ll also find new fashion and lifestyle items donated by the likes of Whistles, Rue Madame, Frey and Tove & Libra (pictured), as well as stalls from niin, beCandle, HULA, Naked Lab, Paper-Roses and more.
