Bumble offers USD5,000 grant to woman-led businesses in Hong Kong

Got a fantastic business idea you want to get off the ground? Or perhaps you have a startup that’s looking for a little help getting to its next phase? Bumble (yes, the dating app!) is launching a  pitch competition for women-led businesses in the Asia-Pacific region as part of their Bumble Bizz professional networking arm. Simply submit your pitch on or before September 27, and if you’re selected to win one of six USD5,000 grants, you will be flown to Sydney on October 10 to claim your prize at the inaugural Bumble Bizz APAC summit, featuring Hong Kong’s own Lindsay Jang of Yardbird. Shop Sustainable Fashion at The American Club on April 20

The American Club Foundation is hosting Sip Style & Shop, a sustainable shopping event on April 20! Taking place at The American Club in Tai Tam, this public event will see some of the city’s best eco business under one roof, offering more than 1,000 items of pre-loved clothing for sale (its on the Southside so you know the pickings will be good!) in support of three local charities: ImpactHK, RUN HK and Chatteris Educational Foundation. In addition to secondhand finds, you’ll also find new fashion and lifestyle items donated by the likes of Whistles, Rue Madame, Frey and Tove & Libra (pictured), as well as stalls from niin, beCandle, HULA, Naked Lab, Paper-Roses and more.
