Belcher Bay Harbourfront Park Opens in Kennedy Town

After what feels like an eternity under construction, the Belcher Bay harbourfront open space is finally open to the public! The 5,900-square metre park spans the distance between Kennedy Town and Shek Tong Tsui, with loads of space and seating areas that we foresee becoming a new hotspot for Hong Kong’s outdoor fitness fans. There’s also an off-leash dog area where pet owners can bring their pups for gatherings (at least someone can enjoy them!) and a 2,000-square metre community garden that combines hydroponics, aquaponics and organic farming. According to an official press release, a series of activities and classes will also be offered later in the year for budding gardeners – watch this space!

Shop Sustainable Fashion at The American Club on April 20

The American Club Foundation is hosting Sip Style & Shop, a sustainable shopping event on April 20! Taking place at The American Club in Tai Tam, this public event will see some of the city’s best eco business under one roof, offering more than 1,000 items of pre-loved clothing for sale (its on the Southside so you know the pickings will be good!) in support of three local charities: ImpactHK, RUN HK and Chatteris Educational Foundation. In addition to secondhand finds, you’ll also find new fashion and lifestyle items donated by the likes of Whistles, Rue Madame, Frey and Tove & Libra (pictured), as well as stalls from niin, beCandle, HULA, Naked Lab, Paper-Roses and more.
