The Ocean
The Ocean, Repulse Bay’s much-anticipated waterside fine-dine has officially opened its doors to the public after a long soft opening period – and boy, was it worth the wait. This seafood-only restaurant prides itself on its sustainably sourced and fully traceable seafood, prepared with the highest attention to detail and plated as pretty as a picture. Think house-made tofu with Japanese uni, burrata with prawns and heirloom tomatoes, or smoked line-caught New Zealand wild snapper. With its sweeping views of Repulse Bay, gorgeous interiors and warm hospitality, this is a fab spot to celebrate a special occasion while laying off the red meat.

El Mercado
Looking for a tasty low-carb lunch in Wan Chai? Check out El Mercado’s Peruvian-Japanese fusion bento box. It’s not as random as it sounds: Peru has a large Japanese population, and their love of fresh fish combines beautifully with indigenous Peruvian ingredients and preparation techniques. The lunch set comes with a soup, salad and your choice of fish or vegetable ceviche, nigiri or tuna tataki. Michelin two-starred chef Akrame Benallal (of Wan Chai’s Akrame restaurant) is branching out into the health food world with the launch of Water Juicery. Billed as a Michelin-worthy juice experience, you can buy bottles individually, or else go for “Michelin Chef” programs. These range from one to six days and comprise juices, protein and fibre powders, and Himalayan salt. Order online or check the website to find regular pop-ups.
